I would like to welcome you and your student to the 2022-2023 school year at Rogers Ranch School. I know many of you are aware that Rogers Ranch is a STEM school. All of our classrooms are equipped with interactive Smartboards, projectors, and document cameras.  Our school also has a one-to-one ratio of electronic devices to students. All students have access to an individual Chromebook in every classroom.  With the integration of technology into the classroom, teachers effectively use this tool to enhance their lessons to provide students with high-quality instruction in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

All students in Grades K-4 have a STEM special area class focusing on coding and project-based learning with the integration of our science standards.  Students in Grades 5-8 will have an opportunity to participate in additional special area classes with an emphasis on STEM exposure.  These classes are Pre Engineering, Coding, MESA Engineering, Inventors Workshop, and Robotics.  This upcoming school year Rogers Ranch will be partnering with the Arizona Science Center, Skill Struck, and Amazon Future Engineers.  We will also offer a variety of after-school clubs that will have a STEM emphasis.  In Grades 7-8 we also offer advanced math courses to ensure we are enriching our students who are outperforming the grade-level standards.

At Rogers Ranch School, we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our students. We will work to ensure that all of our students get a quality education and that our students’ school experience at Rogers Ranch is positive and productive. We want to cultivate the partnership between school and community by increasing parent involvement and providing a variety of programs and services to meet the needs of all students and parents. One way to get involved is through our monthly Booster Club meetings.  If you are interested in participating in these meetings, please reach out to the front office for additional information.

I look forward to the school year ahead!  Our theme this year is Our Journey of Progress; Assess, Adjust, Accelerate.  If there are any questions or ways I can support you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.  I am here to support our community.

In partnership,

Megan Hamburgh, Principal

Why choose Rogers Ranch?

LEARN

Rogers Ranch is a STEM school. STEM education focuses on academic programs that combine science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in meaningful, hands-on, inquiry-based learning environments. Students are immersed in learning activities that incorporate these concepts as they foster 21st Century skills, such as critical thinking, information literacy, and collaboration and investigate solutions to real-world problems. STEM education plays a critical role in the personal success of students and the  building of our economic, environmental, and technological future. A solid foundation in STEM education helps to prepare students for the competitive global workforce and the demands of the 21st Century. While our school is STEM– focused, students continue to develop literacy skills, frequently writing and utilizing informational text related to STEM  topics. STEM topics are integrated into all subject areas including social studies, art, music, and P.E.

Our new facilities allow us to provide our students with the latest technologies, including school-wide Wi-Fi and a fully equipped Paxton-Patterson Action Lab. Here, lessons are computer-based, hands-on, open-ended, and focus on problem solving.
